"Record of Chaos -Korea Edition-" is a deck-building roguelike based on Korean folklore and traditional culture.

An energy of chaos has begun to shake the human world and the realm of the gods. Players must choose one of the three characters—Hwarang, Namsadang, or Mudang—to navigate ever-changing paths and confront monsters from folklore and divine beings.

Collect cards and artifacts, choose paths and events, and advance toward the source of chaos with your own deck and strategy.

Complete your own strategy with cards and artifacts

Each battle proceeds as a turn-based combat where you use cards within the given energy. First, check the enemy's intentions, then decide the order in which to use attack, defense, and spell cards.

Winning a battle earns you card rewards and copper coins. Afterward, you will choose a path with different options, such as normal battles, elite battles, rest, events, treasures, and peddlers. Strong rewards come with risks, while taking the safe path may reduce opportunities for growth.

Combine adding, enhancing, and removing cards, acquiring relics, and using talismans to complete a deck unique to this journey. Even within the same class, the combat style changes depending on which cards you choose and which path you take.

Unpredictable Chaos System

Even with the same choice, if Chaos is applied, the energy of Chaos triggers random effects. See for yourself whether the result helps or hinders your journey.

Chaos Cards are cards that possess both powerful effects and side effects. If you defeat a boss or go through certain events, they can be transformed into Purification Cards without side effects.

Secrets to Overcoming Crises and Records of Great Men

We have prepared a Secret Techniques and Great Man Records system so that even players unfamiliar with deck-building games can continue their journey.

Secret Techniques are powerful tools that can change the flow of battle during dangerous moments, while the Records of Heroes provide special assistance to the player ahead of boss battles. Depending on how you utilize these two systems, you can create new breakthroughs even in difficult situations.

Character - Hwarang

Hwarang is a character with high-performance basic cards. He employs a strategy of alternating between offense and defense to accumulate momentum, which is then used for a powerful single strike or to enhance the effects of his basic cards.

Character - Namsadang

Namsadang builds flows of Salpan, Beona, and Pungmul by using Attack, Defense, and Sorcery cards. Completing each flow grants a buff that enhances the next action, requiring a strategy to decide which card to use the enhancement effect on.

Character - Shaman

The Shaman relies on the low performance of their basic cards to continuously pressure enemies by casting spells and unleashing powerful effects by utilizing divine power. Since they must manage both energy and divine power simultaneously, they require the highest level of strategic thinking among the three classes.

Reinterpreting Folktales as Battles

We did not stop at merely using Korean names; we incorporated the characteristics of folklore and traditional culture throughout the entire game system.

We crafted each element—from monster appearances and combat patterns to cards, relics, events, and patterns, as well as music and screen composition—to flow naturally within a Korean worldview.

Amidst restrained visuals based on bright Hanji and ink paintings, encounter the world of Korean folktales that are familiar yet newly reinterpreted, and approach the truth hidden at the end of the chaos.
