Why have Early Access?

We believe Early Access is the perfect opportunity for Preserve to grow and evolve with the help of our community. By releasing in Early Access, we can gather invaluable feedback and insights directly from our dedicated players, to refine gameplay, introduce new features, and expand biomes in ways that resonate with your vision.

What is the Early Access period for this game?

While it's difficult to estimate this, we hope to reach full release within a year.

How does the official version differ from the Early Access version?

We plan to implement several key enhancements and new content based on our development roadmap and player feedback. Key differences should include:

1. Additional Biomes beyond the initial three available in Early Access. Each new biome will feature unique ecosystems, flora, and fauna, offering diverse environments and new challenges for players to explore.
2. Game Compendium - serving as an in-game encyclopedia. This will include detailed entries on all species and plants encountered and interesting facts, enhancing the educational aspect of the game.
3. Additional Puzzles and Challenges - will provide deeper gameplay experiences, requiring strategic thinking and offering rewarding outcomes that impact the health and balance of the biomes.
4. Based on feedback from our Early Access players, we will implement various quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, and other enhancements to meet and exceed player expectations.”

Is the game price different during Early Access compared to after Early Access?

Yes, we plan to offer Preserve at a lower price during Early Access to reward our early supporters and to encourage player participation and feedback. As we add more content, features, and polish to the game, the price will increase to reflect the additional value and improved experience.

How do you plan to involve the community in the development process?

Community involvement is at the heart of our development process for Preserve. We plan to engage with our players via forums, official Discord server as well as encouraging feedback via in-game feedback survey.
