[Novice Dungeon Master] was initially conceived as a single-player package game. Single-player package games typically have endings, and once players complete them and experience most of the content, they usually leave the game as a memory.
We want to provide players with the best possible experience during their playthrough. While the ideal gaming experience may differ for each individual, we believe that for the best gameplay, a game should be complete, bug-free, and have an intended beginning and end. We're currently working towards this goal, but we need some time and feedback, which led us to consider Early Access.
Through our demo, we've been able to validate the core fun of the game.
What remains is adding planned content, testing, and putting the final touches on the game. We're not far from that goal, and we aim to reach it through Early Access.
Currently, most of the main systems are complete. While we wanted to proceed directly to an official release with more time invested, we decided on Early Access to show a more polished version and because we felt comfortable sharing the current state with those waiting.
What is the Early Access period for this game? Less than 6 months, and around 3 months if there are no variables.
How does the official version differ from the Early Access version? During the Early Access period, we plan to collect feedback to improve the overall game experience.
This may include balance adjustments and additional content based on community feedback.
Furthermore, we're considering various ways to make repeated playthroughs more unique and interesting.
We also have plans for modes that players can continue to enjoy.
Is the game price different during Early Access compared to after Early Access? The price will remain the same.
How do you plan to involve the community in the development process? We will communicate through Discord. We will post announcements and updates, and receive various feedback from players.
