NADIR TRACE is a turn-based roguelike where you explore the closed research facility SITE NT-14. Recover the remaining research records and stabilize the anchors on each floor to open the gates to the next area.
Exploring the facility in the dark
Explore the laboratory, ruins, and the open terrain in between within a limited field of view. Activate deactivated equipment to illuminate the surroundings, and find supplies to manage your health and hunger.
The terrain and facility layout change with each exploration. Terrain you have examined remains on the map to help you find your way.

Combat proceeding one action at a time
Enemy attacks are displayed on the floor before activation. Observe the attacks spreading in straight lines and circles, as well as the waves traversing multiple squares, to choose where to dodge and when to counterattack.
Turns progress by moving, attacking, waiting, or using items. If you stop inputting, you can take your time to think about your next action.
Equipment used according to the situation
Withstand attacks with shields and escape encirclement with phase jumps. You can also lure enemies with holograms or redirect their attacks toward other foes. Utilizing equipment acquired during exploration allows you to overcome situations where fighting head-on is difficult.
Boss and Special Zone
Face off against a large boss that attacks a wide area, and counter it by activating the lasers installed in the facility. In unstable zones, you must dodge raining bombardments while operating the stabilization devices.

The records left behind and the unknown depths
Once you complete the investigation objectives, you can return or continue exploring via BEYOND TRACE. Enemies and attacks become more dangerous in deeper areas.
Recovered research records and notes can be reread in the archives. Fill your item and monster encyclopedia through multiple explorations, and take on collection goals and challenges.
This is a single-player game featuring terminal-style pixel graphics and synthesized music. You can save and resume interrupted exploration.
