현실의 저편에는 저승이 있다. 그리고 저승의 옆에는 정명(精明)이라는 곳이 있다.
어지간한 것들은 올 수 없지만, 또 조건만 된다면 그 어떤 것이던 올 수 있는 곳.
그 정명(精明)이라는 공간은 활기가 넘치는 이승, 음기가 넘치는 저승과는 달리 그 어떤 것으로도 정의 할 수 없는 뒤죽박죽인 공간.
또, 그러면서도 분위기는 조용하기 짝이 없는 곳.
혼란스러워야 함에도 적막하기 짝이 없는 정명(精明)에 커다란 구멍이 났다는 건 좌시할 수 없는 일이었다.
그 일을 해결하기 위해 사람들은 움직이기 시작했다. 달콤한 잠을 방해한 범인을 단죄하기 위해. 또, 재미있는 사건이 벌어졌다는 현장감을 즐기기 위해.
