Build the roads. Lay the rails. Run the company.
Iron & Asphalt is a transport tycoon set in South Korea. Lay roads and railways across the peninsula, run buses, trucks and trains, and turn a one-bus start-up into a listed transport group — with real books, real investors and AI rivals building lines of their own.
What makes it special
1. A map you can recognize
Start on the whole Korean Peninsula, or pick the Capital Area, Seoul, Gyeongsang, Jeolla, Gangwon or Chungcheong. Every town has its own character — port, industrial town, hanok village, lakeside resort, college town — with its own streets and colors, and landmarks like N Seoul Tower, Hwaseong Fortress and Busan Tower. Towns grow where your stops reach: new homes, shops and offices follow your service.

2. Roads and rails that behave like the real thing
Speed limits by road class, traffic lights that react to approaching vehicles, and drivers who remember yesterday's jams when they pick a route. Lay curved and branching track, path signals, passing loops and tunnels — drag across a river and the bridge builds itself. Stops grow with your network, up to a 4-berth bus terminal, a 3-bay logistics yard and a big arched station.

3. Korea's own vehicles and industries
Run vehicles modeled on Korea's own: double-decker buses, dump trucks, Mugunghwa, ITX-Cheongchun and KTX-Eum. Grain goes through food plants to the towns; ore and coal go through the steel mill to machinery plants. There's cement, paper and logistics too, transfers between road and rail, and refrigerated cargo that has to arrive fresh.

4. Run it like a real company
Four financial statements every fiscal year: income statement, balance sheet, changes in equity and cash flow. Raise money from an accelerator through Series A, B and C, and shop around for a better offer — but beware the down round. Loans follow the base rate; there are corporate bonds and credit ratings, an IPO, share prices and dividends, shareholders' meetings, proxy fights and taxes. Unlock new vehicles, facilities, contracts and policies as your company develops.

5. Ink and gugak
Ink-wash title art and encyclopedia illustrations, and a soundtrack of more than 370 tracks that blend Korean traditional instruments with jazz, orchestra and electronic music — with a jukebox to pick your own.

Story: scenes from Korea's transport history
Run an open-ended company on any map, or take on historical scenarios that put you in a moment of Korea's transport history. Link each section before the deadline and collect the subsidy.
The companies
You're not alone on the map. AI transport companies run real bus and truck lines and build freight railways; they list on the exchange and pay dividends too. Lease them your stations and open your track for fees — but price it fairly or they'll walk away. Win by company value, IPO, wealth, cash or transport volume, or by merging every rival into your group.
| Company | Style |
| Copper Transport | Aggressive: opens lines often and puts its profits back into growth |
| Hanseong Logistics | Cautious: builds up cash before it expands and pays generous dividends |
| Donghae Transit | Aggressive |
| Baekdu Express | Cautious |

A word from the developer
This game started with a simple wish: to lay roads and railways across the country I know. I wanted a map full of familiar towns and landmarks, with Korean buses and trains running across it, and a company whose books behave like the real thing. During Early Access I'll keep tuning the economy, making big networks run smoother and adding scenarios and vehicles. If something gets in your way or there's something you'd love to see, tell me in the community — I read every post.
Early Access
The full game is playable from start to finish, with no features held back.
Languages: English and Korean (switch any time in Settings). Bus and truck names and brands are fictionalized; train names follow Korean rail tradition.
Some artwork (ink illustrations, key art, cards and some 3D models), the intro sound and the soundtrack were created with generative AI tools and then selected and edited by the developer. Nothing is generated while you play. Sound effects: OpenSFX (CC BY-SA 3.0).
