A mystery game set in the night of Joseon, where you become a night watchman guarding the village gates to identify monsters disguised as humans among the guests. Raise your lantern to read shadows, match them with a register, reveal their true identities using a bronze mirror and red beans, and seal them with a talisman. Succeed if you guard for ten nights; after that, it is an endless night.

- Ghosts have no shadows -
When the sun sets, there are those who knock on the village door.
Neighbors out for a night stroll, travelers who have come a long way… and monsters disguised as humans.
As the night watchman, you must decide whether to open the door, send them away, or attach a talisman.
If even one wrong person is brought in, the village is put in danger, and if a talisman is attached to an innocent person, the people's goodwill will decline.
• Lantern: Lift up and look at your feet. Ghosts have no shadows, foxes have their tails visible on the night of the full moon, and some emit flames from their bodies.
• The List and Questions: The faces, families, and likes of ten villagers are written in the list. Ask questions and try to guess. Those in disguise make mistakes in speech.
• Bronze Mirror and Red Beans: The mirror reflects your true appearance, and sprinkling red beans makes ghosts and goblins flinch. The number of uses is limited, so use them sparingly.
• Sealing the Talisman: Draw it with a single brushstroke. If the calligraphy is masterful, it is rewarded; if it is poor, it runs away.
- Don't trust just one clue -
On a rainy night, people get wet, the charcoal maker is ablaze with fire, and the sick are pale.
If you recognize a spirit and invite it in, blessings will come; if you send it away, you will be punished.
116 species of monsters, spirits, and eccentrics live scattered across 20 regions, stretching from the village entrance to the gates of the underworld.
The circumstances of the villagers listed in the register are written anew on every board.
- Ten Nights, and After -
One round is ten nights.
Every night, the region changes, the number of monsters increases, and the number of tools decreases.
From the fourth night onwards, special incidents such as secret royal inspectors, thieves and constables, tattling, and banquets occur.
If you survive ten nights, you will see an ending that varies depending on the result, and if you wish, it leads to an endless night that gets harder every night.
