Q. Why do we do Early Access?
A. Don't Pop!: Splash Race is a game centered on physics-based controls and online multiplayer racing. While basic gameplay is currently available, physics-based movement, map difficulty, obstacle balance, network stability, UI/UX, and performance optimization require further refinement in actual player environments.
We plan to collect player feedback, improve existing systems, and proceed with bug fixes and balance adjustments through Early Access. Additionally, depending on development progress, we plan to sequentially review potential additional content, such as new maps, obstacles, and quality-of-life features.
The goal is to first release a playable version and then develop it into a more stable and polished official version based on community feedback.
Q. How long is the Early Access period for this game?
A. We are planning an early access period of approximately 6 to 12 months.
During this period, we plan to improve the existing system, fix bugs, adjust balance, enhance network stability, optimize performance, improve UI/UX, improve maps, and add new content if possible.
The exact official release date may vary depending on development progress and player feedback. We plan to end Early Access and transition to the official version once core systems are sufficiently stabilized and content and balance are deemed to meet official release standards.
Q. How does the official version differ from the Early Access version?
A. The goal of the official version is to provide a more stable and refined gaming experience compared to the Early Access version.
The major improvements currently planned include improving physics-based controls, balancing map difficulty and obstacles, enhancing online multiplayer stability, improving lobby and matchmaking flow, improving UI/UX, optimizing performance, and fixing bugs.
In addition, based on development progress and player feedback, we plan to improve existing maps and review additional content, such as new maps, obstacles, cosmetic elements, and convenience features, to the extent possible.
The specific content composition of the official version may be determined based on development progress and community feedback during the Early Access period.
Q. Is the game priced differently during and after Early Access?
A. During the Early Access period, pricing will be determined based on the currently available content and development status.
The price may increase at the time of official launch based on additional content, improved systems, enhanced stability, and overall quality. We plan to announce any price changes in advance whenever possible.
Q. How do you plan to involve the community in the development process?
A. During the Early Access period, we plan to gather player feedback through the STOVE community, product page reviews and comments, announcements, developer notes, customer inquiries, and more.
In particular, we plan to carefully review feedback regarding controls, map difficulty, obstacle balance, online multiplayer stability, bugs, performance issues, and UI/UX.
We will use the collected feedback to prioritize updates and determine the direction for balance adjustments and system improvements. We plan to share major changes, fixes, and upcoming updates through STOVE announcements and developer notes.
In addition, we will internally review recurring issues or improvement requests and reflect them in the patch direction, and where possible, we will also provide updates on the results of the changes made after the update.
