The noon bell hasn't rung. The king died without an heir.
Four great houses, Bear, Lion, Anchor and Mountain, and the court are fighting over the empty throne. You belong to none of them. You're a wandering sellsword, and tonight's bed and a warm meal matter more than who gets the crown.
The Unremembered is a dark fantasy, choice-driven roguelite you play one swipe at a time.
The job from the Lion house is to burn a village. Do you let the farmer blocking the door leave first, or set fire at once? What you did follows you even to the table afterward.
Even on the same job, your choices change the cost and the story that follows. The side you take and the people you turn away leave their mark on later events and endings.

The tavern keeper ties up dried bread and a small bottle of oil. Pay from your jobs lets you buy supplies and fill your pack. You manage four resources: HP, sanity, gold and supplies.
Dragging a card previews which resources you will gain and lose. If your supplies are already depleted, choices that need them cost health or sanity instead.

You meet familiar faces again on the road north. Beyond the city walls lie open fields. At your evening fire, a sellsword dismounts, drawn north by word of a job. While the houses fight over the throne, black mist is coming down from the north.
The demo includes Act I in the capital and Act II on the road north. Discovering an ending that leads north unlocks Act II.

The ledger pairs accounts of the houses and the northern lands and roads with large illustrations. The endings you discover are recorded in this book too.
Finding an ending can open the next act. Some tokens remain with you on your next attempt, and different choices can lead to events and endings you have not seen. Progress and ledger entries from the demo do not carry over to the full game.
