In "CRIKEYMAS", you take control of a (kinda gross looking) Rudolph boy, who have unfortunately become the Santa's trusty workforce, in this platformer game where you bonk your way through deliciously spicy levels.


Oops! Santa is drunk again...


Woe be you. To save the Christmas from catastrophic demise, you'll have to help Santa, with finding his hangover cure.

Apparently he's gotten some bacon (the ultimate hangover cure in my humble opinion) hidden in his super abandoned secret building, and all it needs is some poor soul to fetch it to him...

Well, and would you look at that. You are the chosen one now! All right! Now, go ahead and run an errand for Santa to get the bacon he have conveniently hid deep within his old building. PRONTO!


 SUPER HAMMER ACTION!!


 Hammers aren't just for the decoration purposes!

Bonk, leap, and weave your way through the thorns-ridden levels!

With the mighty hammer, you are also able to get acrobatic! Bounce high off the ground, and scale the walls to reach impossible places (that a normal person probably shouldn't be around)!


 Retro graphics and soundtrack!


 I think the developer is on that Hippie grind.

From the sound to the graphics, there's something about this game that feels old-school. The developer guy said that he's been particularly inspired by the chiptune musics from the classic Commodore Amiga-era computer games. But, the graphics are also simple, as if they're designed for, like the NES. What kind of combination is this...?




[Controls]

  • ESC - Pause
  • Arrow keys - move
  • Z - Jump
  • X - Attack (after acquiring the hammer)
  • Combine attack, directional keys, and jump to unleash a variety of combos. For more detailed information, visit the "View Controls" menu in-game.





 The build you are currently playing were created for prototyping purposes back in 2020, and the version of the engine used during development has now ceased support (unfortunately). And the only this that holds this build is duct tape and hope!
That means, I've been starting from scratch with a new version of the engine, so there will be a lot of changes. I think?


As a solo developer, I had to work on everything from code, graphics to background music and sound, so there were a lot of trial and errors involved. Not to mention that the process had been super slow.
Especially after the engine had been switched, the graphics redesigned... Simply there still are a lot of things that can use more polishing treatment. Gotta grind more...
