REM:CO, a company developing memory manipulation technology in the name of saving the human spirit, promises large sums of money to participants in its experiments, and the protagonist, Logan, volunteers for the experiment to escape his desperate reality.

But soon he begins to realize that he is not merely a test subject, but a reconstructed being of memory itself. He hears unfamiliar voices in his fragmented memories, fragments of someone else's life, and his increasingly distorted sense of reality.

Players explore REM:CO's virtual memory lab through Logan's eyes, trying to distinguish between manipulated memories and the truth.
